This protector covers the top and the sides of the mattress, so it is a barrier over the sleeping surface, but it is not a zipped encasement and it does not seal the mattress. We do not currently sell a full encasement. For a confirmed bed bug problem you want a sealed encasement and, usually, a pest controller.
